Finger Ring Purse

In the early twentieth century miser’s purses were frequently confused with other types of nineteenth-century purses, known as string purses and finger ring purses, due to the decline of interest in miser’s purses and the deterioration of handiwork skills. Like miser’s purses, these accessories were used to safeguard coins and other precious items. These styles were not as prevalent, likely because their respective crisscrossing strings and single sac made them problematic accessories for storing valuables.
