Every Day This Summer: Art Splash

From June 27 through September 4, all Family Programs are part of Art Splash, with daily gallery explorations, studio art creations, and imaginative play inspired by the wildlife photographs of Michael Nichols. Museum admission for kids twelve and under is always free.

Indian Temple Hall (Gallery 224)
This dance troupe preserves and promotes Bharatanatyam, a traditional Indian dance form. Tonight they perform Saha, an ensemble of moves dedicated to different deities.

Meet in Wallace Gallery 201.
Go on an experiential journey through the medieval galleries with Amy Smith, cofounder of Headlong Dance Theater. Additional creative input from theater artist Adriano Shaplin.

This acrobatic performance ensemble responds to Wild: Michael Nichols through storytelling and daring physicality.

Modeled after the block parties of Brazilian carnival, PhillyBloco will perform a raucous mash-up of samba, funk, and New Orleans second line.
